Welcome to my Portfolio
Hello!
For as long as I can remember, I have always loved learning. For the past couple of decades, I have been helping others learn in various ways. I have created numerous instructional opportunities for a variety of learners. As I continue to learn, I search for opportunities to use my knowledge to help others. This has led me to instructional and graphic design.

My Process
Before beginning any type of project it is important to understand the problem that needs to be solved. Do you need a team to learn a new task, refresher course, or are you needing to reach your customers and consumers differently? In this step, we establish things like goals and outcomes as well as delivery options.
Next, the focus is on documenting the project's instructional, visual or technical design strategy. This is based on the outcomes decided on earlier. Here the creation of storyboards, prototypes, and application of visual design is essential.

Keep in mind, the entire design process is iterative. Sometimes it is necessary to revisit different phases based on the project needs and goals. Once goals and design have been established, development begins. Content assets are being developed, technologies are integrated depending on the projects. Items are reviewed and tested followed by feedback and any revisions necessary.
Implementation depends on what was being developed. If it was an eLearning course that was designed then all that is needed is to publish the course to the LMS and send it out to the correct team in charge of learning. If it was an instructor lead course, then it is time to train the team on how to implement the course. Websites and other publications will now be published, printed, and pushed out to the appropriate departments as well. Here we begin to track the progress of the project to evaluate if it served its purpose.

After implementation, we move forward to evaluating the effectiveness of the project created. This is where we continue to go back analyzing all over again. It is important to continually evaluate the project because as time changes so do the needs of the project. Sometimes things do not work as well as planned and must be changed. The more you learn the more you can improve.
